WHAT THE THUNDER SAID

Bernstein • Dennard • Moore

they‘re all living on borrowed time and the clock is ticking greed is winning with their eyes wide open seeing through hollow minds working more, making less, taking pills to try and smile they bury cities underneath cites sprawling in and out of themselves they tear the old work out to bring the new work in they do it over and over and over again don’t over think it greed is winning

and no one remembers the fine line that they crossed to sign off on their own rights back when Orwell was still just sci-fi but who can pretend anymore greed is winning and the clock, the clock is ticking

it’s the corruption of all reason and rational minds being raped by religion and political swine they swallowed all the land just to grow poisoned fruit they fill their children full of fear seeing through hollow minds with eyes wide open there are no eyes needed here no mouth, no lungs, no ears born addicts, plastic habits scared crows blind to all that’s real

there are no more laughs just this sullen old raft and the dark stench of cold bloodied karma is it sinking in is it sinking in is it all sinking in I hope they can swim...
